SYSTEM ENGINEER - GLOBAL TELECOM NETWORK

Reporting to the Project Manager based in Jakarta, the primary purpose of this position is to work closely with Project manager to ensure that assigned project actions are delivered in a consistent manner with the primary objective of providing correct and timely link engineering information to the implementation team and coordinating the design data alignment with the customer.

Description

Specific responsibilities and priorities will include:

• Providing Sites survey & RFI documentation, Site Survey verification, Finalization of link design and BOM for the MW network. Attend project meetings with the customer and keeping the Project manager updated on the latest status of RFI and Design activities
• Take over network design from engineering and work on low level implementation details (Radio Configurations, Traffic plan, Synchronization Plan etc) in discussion with customer
• Provide Link Budget Calculation using Pathloss (including frequency plan and interference studies), Solution BoM including OEM solution and Application validation for the region's MW projects
• Review Sites survey and RFI documentation to validate field data that meet design requirements.
• Finalization of the link design and provide documentation for acceptance to customer
• Finalization of the link BOM and provide documentation for acceptance to customer and also inputs to the Order Processing team
• Maintain link budget and network design information in Pathloss 5
• Build, Maintain and extend technical knowledge of all Company's Networks Products and NMS Platforms

Accountabilities and Performance Measures:

• Ensuring project goals are reached
• Ensuring technical skills are build with field teams for them to be able to work independently, thereby improving productivity
• Ensuring high quality site survey and RFI survey execution that meets customer expectation
• Maintaining link and network design objectives and KPI
• Implementing and maintaining program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives

Profile

A strong MW RF design and Equipment technical knowledge, strong in Link and network design skills and motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion

The candidate should be able to work cross-functionally and manage multiple project issues, simultaneously. Strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent customer issues management skills and committed to the completion of projects and tasks are a must

Candidates should possess an engineering degree from an accredited institution and have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar related position

Candidates must also have the following experience and competencies:

• Knowledge in the fundamentals of MW transmission systems
• Exposure and work experience in MW transmission engineering, planning and implementation
• Good knowledge of Pathloss 5
• Exposure and work experience in IP and Networking is a plus
• Six to seven years combined work/field experience and MW project design implementations
• Able to handle work under pressure with flexibility in a 24/7 environment
• Highly reliable, objective and detail oriented, and dedicated with desire to learn and grow
